Sleepovers

Today I got the priviledge to witness our teen girls after their sleepover at the church. Hee hee. Some are NOT morning people! It seems like everyone had a good time. You know what I like about our teens? Everyone seems to be ok with who they are. I hear ALOT of opinions expressed and I think that CAN be a good thing when expressed in the right way.

Ok now I am gonna get all "mom" on you:

God gives us the right to have free will and think what we want. He of course wants us to think in a Godly view but He gave us free will. It does make me sad however when I hear people express their opinions and then argue with others if their opinions don't agree. It is ok to think differently. We don't all need to agree on the little stuff...let it go! The most important things to agree on are God, salvation and reaching out to others to share God with them. All the other stuff we need to be flexible! I didn't hear girls doing this today, I just got to thinking about it.

If you don't like a movie that someone is watching, that's fine. You can express your opinion but don't make other people feel like because they like something the same as you and then act like it is wrong becuase you don't agree.

We tend to waste too much time arguing about the stupid stuff. That is Satan's work. He wants us to get bogged down in the stupid stuff...cause then we are not focused on what God is doing and being there where God is working.

I love the girls at our church. I want them to be the core for my daughter. I want them to hold her accountable and be supportive of her, even if they don't agree. In spiritual matters then gently guide her. Christ lead with compassion and understanding and love.
